My Story

Like many moms, I used to feel frustrated and uncertain when it came to making the best health choices for my family. Every decision felt overwhelming—one expert would say one thing, another would completely contradict it, and I was left sorting through the noise, hoping I was making the right choices. Every option presented to us felt like a band-aid solution rather than a true path to healing. We weren’t unhappy, but we were exhausted—searching for real answers in a system that wasn’t built to provide them.

I knew there had to be something more. I wanted to feel empowered, not just as a mom, but as the one responsible for shaping the foundation of my family’s health and well-being. I wanted to stop second-guessing myself, stop feeling like I had to fight for every ounce of clarity, and start trusting that I had the knowledge and support to make the best choices.

That’s why I created the Momma Bear community—a space where moms can find honest conversations, real solutions, and the encouragement we all deserve. This isn’t just another wellness group. It’s a movement of moms who are ready to take back control, to ask the hard questions, and to find answers that go beyond what the mainstream narrative tells us. Here, we don’t just accept things at face value—we dig deeper, we learn, and we support one another in creating a healthier, more vibrant future for our families.

“On January 8, 2023 I embarked on a new journey to eat healthy, make clean choices, exercise (still a bit of a struggle at times), preparing healthy meals and swapping out processed foods for Whole Foods. Basically, choosing a new lifestyle with Intermittent Fasting, Paleo meals, and an occasional Keto meal, swapping comfort foods for comfort foods with a twist. Do I ever have comfort foods as is? Of course, but very, very rarely. Do I have a cocktail? On occasion.

I actually had a very positive mindset when I started the JS. I was totally ready for it. I knew I needed to do something and I wanted to loss the weight. I honestly can’t believe how easy it was for me. The Jumpstart is life changing. My husband now eats healthier. He is helping me with meal prep and he now makes Paleo sweet treats.

I have lost a total of 30 lbs. my goal was 20, Super goal to get 125 lbs and I kept losing….sticking to clean eating and intermittent fasting. I have gone from a size 10 and sometimes a 12 to a size 4.

Besides Ningxia and drinking all the water I need to daily, I take Essentialzymes-4 when I eat out either at a restaurant or a gathering where I did not prepare the food.

If I have to say what my biggest struggle was it would be snacking at night. With the Jumpstart those cravings have gone away. When my eating window closes I’m satisfied.

“Good Morning! I couldn’t wait to wake up and weigh in and take my measurements. I lost 7.6 lbs and a total of 10.75 inches! I pretty much lost an inch all over with the exception of my waist (2.5 inches down) and abdomen (2 inches down). I’m very pleased with all that I learned and the encouragement of the group and plan to continue following the process. The big thing for when doing the 11 day was the decrease in inflammation and bloat. Struggled with gut issues for years esp PP and this decreased a lot of those issues. Eating paleo isn’t sustainable lifetime goal of mine but it did work in teaching me what my body did/didn’t agree with. Cutting out dairy was a HUGE game changer.
