đź’› If I Could Tell My Pregnant Self One Thing, It Would Be This...

As I look back at my pregnancy photos, particularly during my fourth pregnancy, I can't help but reflect on the wisdom I wish I could share with my younger self. That mama, while full of love and anticipation, was still learning to trust her own instincts in a world that often prioritizes expert opinions over maternal intuition.

If I could go back and have a heart-to-heart conversation with my pregnant self, the message would be clear and simple: trust your instincts more than the experts.
You see, we live in a world where the "normal" path is often presented as the only path. But here's what I've learned - just because something is common practice doesn't mean it's the best choice for you and your baby. Your body was divinely designed with an incredible ability to birth, nourish, and protect your baby naturally. This isn't just a nice theory; it's ancient wisdom proven through generations of motherhood.

One of the most crucial lessons I've learned is the importance of research. Those routine hospital interventions that are presented as standard procedure? The shots they insist upon at birth? The tests they claim are necessary? Not all of them are actually in your baby's best interest. Each one deserves careful consideration and research before automatically accepting them as necessary.

What I know now, that I wish I knew then, is that you have a choice in every single medical decision. No matter how routine or standard a procedure might be, you have the right to question it, research it, and decide if it's right for your baby. Never let anyone rush you into a decision you haven't thoroughly researched and feel completely comfortable with.

Looking back, I would have asked more questions. I would have said "no" more often when my gut feeling didn't align with standard procedures. Most importantly, I would have fully trusted in God's perfect design of my body and its ability to nurture and protect my baby.
This isn't about rejecting modern medicine entirely - it's about making informed choices and trusting the maternal instincts God gave you. It's about understanding that while medical professionals have valuable knowledge, no one knows your body and your baby quite like you do.

To all the expectant mamas reading this: your intuition isn't just a feeling - it's a gift. Use it. Trust it. Let it guide you alongside your research and prayers. Remember, you're not just making choices for today; you're making choices that will impact your baby's entire life.
You have more wisdom, strength, and power than you realize.

Trust in that truth, and let it guide you through your pregnancy journey.
