Momma Bear Wisdom: Listening to Your Body’s Wisdom
Have you ever had a moment where your body seems to be whispering to you?
Before you say “No,” take a second to reflect. Maybe you’ve had those days where you’re tired earlier than usual, or it feels like your “go” button is stuck. Perhaps your head starts aching, and suddenly it hits you—you haven’t eaten, and it’s already 2 p.m!! Those little signals aren’t random; they’re your body’s way of asking for care, urging you to slow down and listen.
Our bodies are incredibly smart, and they know exactly what they need. The trick is pausing long enough to hear those whispers. Whether it’s the need for rest, a craving for something nourishing, or a call for movement, when we honor what our bodies ask for, we can feel more balanced and energized.
When Your Body Says “Rest”
There are times when your body simply asks for rest—whether that’s through heavy eyes, a feeling of exhaustion, or just that deep sense that you need to stop. Rather than pushing through, try giving yourself permission to pause. A few minutes of quiet, or even a quick nap, can be the reset your body is asking for.
Nourishment for Your Body
Sometimes, it takes those subtle cues like low energy or an empty feeling in your stomach to remind you that your body needs real fuel. Next time your energy dips, think about whether you’ve had something nourishing. A simple, wholesome snack or a glass of water might be all your body needs to get back on track.
Moving When Your Body Needs It
Movement doesn’t always mean a full workout. Sometimes, it’s your body asking for a stretch or a walk to wake things up. When you feel stiff or sluggish, listen to that nudge. A few minutes of gentle movement can do wonders for re-energizing your body and mind.

Whether it’s a call for rest, a craving for something nourishing, or that urge to move, your body has its own way of guiding you toward what it needs to thrive. Mine is encouraging me to get up and move now!
